If Warhol is still in play, Ryzen 6000 series would release late 2021 or the first half of 2022, and Zen4 would follow in late 2022. That jump to a 5nm node will translate to considerable performance and efficiency improvements. Either we are kept in the dark for Warhol or it has been canceled so AMD can focus their resources to bring Zen4 on the 5nm process as soon as possible. Warhol on the other hand might not see the light of the day considering Lisa Su’s announcement that Zen4 is expected in 2022 while there has been no information whatsoever for Warhol. In other words, we will definitely see 5nm desktop CPUs.ĪMD’s roadmaps show no evidence regarding desktop SKUs, but it’s definite that mobile chips are going to be Zen3+ instead of Zen4.
